hillsborough sliding project A unique challenging design & construction, dealing with sliding problems in the hillside areas of Hillsborough, by architect Kamran Ehsanipour.  The project required 13 piers of which some extended 30 feet deep below grade and under the existing foundations.  The time of the construction (during the raining season due to the emergency requirements) and the extreme poor conditions of the soil (substantial fill and expansive soil) were some of the factors making the job more challenging, requiring the utmost expertise in this type of work.
